We're the Seyds family from Slovakia, but you already know us... Johnny (45), Simona (39), Leo (19), Matyas (14), Arthur (8), and Simeon (3) - a family of six embarking on the adventure through Asia.
Why This Trip?
This 9-month journey has been planned for a long time. Now several factors have aligned to create this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity:
Perfect Timing
With Leo about to enter adulthood, this was our last chance for extended family bonding time before life takes us in different directions.
Real-World Education
We believe there's no better classroom than the world itself. This journey offers our children invaluable cultural learning experiences.
Family Dream
For years, we've dreamed of exploring Asia together. The time finally felt right to turn that dream into reality.
New Perspective
Stepping outside our normal routines to gain fresh life perspective and grow together as a family.
Our Travel Philosophy
We are not typical tourists. We don't want to stand in lines for tourist attractions. We didn't come here to eat fries and pizza. We’re not interested in visiting hipster markets or Instagram cafés. We have no interest in tourist glitz.
Our goal is to experience authentic local life, taste local foods, and discover and learn new things.
Meet the Family
Johnny (45)
Main travel organizer, budget guard, and family protector. In charge of booking flights, accommodation, and handling all practical duties of living abroad.
Simona (39)
The heart of the family, family psychologist, chief photographer, nutritionist, and coordinator. Prepares snacks to prevent low blood sugar and bad moods.
Leo (19)
Easy-going young man mostly documenting fitness and party life. Gets to know amusing locals and expats and enjoys a culturally enriched social life.
Matyas (14)
Adventurer and trip planner who prepares itineraries for every destination. Seeks out experiences tailored to the interests of each family member.
Arthur (8)
Young naturalist exploring local fauna. Delights in discovering every exotic animal and tries to capture them all in his sketchbook.
Simeon (3)
A little kamikaze constantly testing his parents' stamina and nerves. Thanks to his age, he speeds up airport and immigration processes.
